About Event

One of these masterpieces, the Taj Mahal (1632-43AD) would be the focus of this presentation. The presentation would specially focus on methods of proportioning in Mughal Architecture achieved through the use of geometry. Through a graphic analysis which shows a step-by-step generation of the complex through slides of geometric analyses over-lain on building plans, sections and elevations.

As context it would be argued that classical architecture has to be viewed as any other classical art form with a given grammar, vocabulary and concept of beauty.Some of the known architects of the period would also be briefly introduced.
