Meet your Instructors

Abdelrahman Aboulfadl

Abdelrahman is a professional artist and instructor with seven years of experience in Islamic floral ornamentation and woodwork. A graduate of the Jameel House of Traditional Arts , he expertly teaches classical Rumi and Hatayi motifs. He is dedicated to preserving authentic heritage details through structured educational courses.

Tuka El Safty

Based in Egypt, Tuka El Safty is an artist whose work is inspired by a deep fascination with Islamic art and architecture. For over a decade, she has explored the rich visual traditions of the Islamic world, later expanding her knowledge through the study of Islamic geometric patterns and by graduating from Jameel House for Traditional Arts in Cairo. Working primarily with gouache and watercolor, she creates paintings inspired by historic mosque architecture, ornamental patterns, and floral motifs. Through vibrant color and intricate detail, her work celebrates the beauty and craftsmanship of these traditions while sharing the sense of wonder that first drew her to them. Her original paintings continue to find new homes around the world.

What do You Need to Participate in This Workshop?

Drawing Tools
Plain white paper or a sketchbook (Minimum A4 size) – for drawing and note-taking.
Ruler
Drafting compass - if you have the option, opt for the one with a mechanical pencil
Graphite pencils or Mechanical pencils (HB and 4B grades)
Tracing paper
Masking tape 
Eraser - if you have the option, opt for the pen-style eraser
Ball Stylus Dotting Tools / Embossing Stylus Set – fine tip set is required. (OPTIONAL)

Yes! All of our classes, courses and community experiences are designed to be super interactive!

How long do I have access to the recording?

Recordings will be uploaded a few hours after each class. You will have access to recordings for 3 days after the workshop finishes, until 22nd July at 4PM BST.
